RIDER'S GUIDE TO BALTIMORE
tackling PUBLIC transportation through design thinking
Our first community-focused project addressed the lack of transparency surrounding public transit use in Baltimore. We developed a Rider's Guide to using the various methods that was presented to Transit Choices, a coalition of business organizations, universities, cultural institutions, developers, environmental groups, community groups, transportation planners, young entrepreneurs, and concerned individuals joined together by the vision of creating a real mass transit system in Baltimore.
THE guide
Through our research, we found that riding Baltimore's various methods of transportation (particularly bus, rail, bike and boat) can require "insider" or "local" knowledge - a deterrent for tourists or those new to the city. In response, we developed a one-stop guide to everything new riders need to know.
